Which is the purpose of LazyTown?
Motivate kids to live healthier lives. Magnus Scheving, the creator, was motivated by kids and learned from them just how excited they were when they made positive changes in their lives. LazyTown believes that the best way to get kids to understand this is to inspire them and lead by example. LazyTown delivers positive, healthy messages in an entertaining way to empower kids to do things that they haven't done before
Why the name LazyTown?
Just the name has a proven appeal. Kids like the name because it’s funny and it seems a little different. The name help to forge a relationship with kids grounded in fun but grown-ups quickly see past the name and understand that it's good for kids.
Where is LazyTown originated?
LazyTown originates in Iceland, a pristine Nordic country in the middle of the Northern Atlantic and a volcanic island about half way between the U.S. and Europe, Iceland with Greenland may be confused, first dispel the myth that Iceland is made of ice. When in doubt, just remembering this rule of thumb: Iceland is green and Greenland is icy. Reykjavik, the home base of LazyTown, is a high tech modern city full of sophisticated, creative folk. It isn’t at all what you might imagine. LazyTown (or in icelandic "Latibaer") has been a well-known brand in Iceland for years.
Was Robbie Rotten’s chin real?

How did the production of the television series develop?
LazyTown was created in their own studios in Iceland with an international cast and crew, using one of the most advanced high-definition virtual cinematography facilities in the world at the time. The signals from the HDTV-24P cameras immediately produce finished results in real time, while the action is happening, allowing for the greatest amount of creativity and flexibility on set, maximizing production value. The studio was located in a 5,067 m2 facility in Gardabær, a municipality in the Reykjavik metropolitan area. It had all the necessary facilities to produce, film, finish and deliver the television program. Everything from the script to the finished product was produced inside the studio building; offices and rooms for producers, make-up, image data processing, CGI, compositing, editing, color correction, finishing, music composition and sound, recording and editing.
